EVERLY: Dress, Gap | Sweater, Jacardi
We made it! Victory achieved – that is the accomplishment of making the nine-hour drive to Charleston, South Carolina, from Washington, D.C. NOW I really wonder how we traveled before my GENIUS idea of getting a portable DVD player. I have no clue how I didn’t get one sooner. If you are planning a road trip, this inexpensive DVD player will pay for itself in the first ten minutes and the dividends keep coming! If you follow me on Insta, you already know that we were celebrating our anniversary and my birthday. Even though Charleston is a very romantic city, we were so glad that we brought Everly along. The uninterrupted family time was a real gift. Not to mention, she would not miss a beat, or miss out on a thing :-).
Talk about the cutest, most charming place. And, the Southern people…so friendly and warm! The houses are vibrant colors and those PORCHES are, well, to die for. It is the Southern, wrap-around porch variety where the residents sip on sweet tea in the afternoon…yes, you can see it in real life there.
For today’s post, I’m sharing just a few photos from the day when we took a carriage ride through the city! Check back for my next post on DETAILED information on the city…restaurants, the cutest coffee shop, best gelato, shops, and more. 🙂
Can’t close without mentioning this hat and this blouse….they have been on major repeat recently. The hat is a copy of those Panama hats and under $20! The blouse is so easy to wear, roomier, and great for pregnancy/nursing and normal life.
